Annika completed her Bachelor of Nursing in 2013 through the University of Canberra and has worked primarily in surgical nursing and in rural health areas since graduation.
Growing up in rural NSW, from early in her career, Annika developed a passion for rural healthcare, focusing on care delivery, education and professional development opportunities for staff and students. Annika went on to complete her Masters of Nursing – Rural and Remote Health in 2018, which has further consolidated her knowledge and interest in promoting the rural workforce.
Annika also works as a clinical nurse educator at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. She enjoys working with multidisciplinary teams to promote a positive, engaging and proactive learning environment.
Annika is passionate about teaching and enjoys the challenge of exploring new ways to provide education and training to fellow clinicians and students.
Annika has interests in clinical education and the application of innovative education delivery platforms to enhance placement experience.
