Consortium partners

Charles Sturt University leads, administers and operates the Three Rivers Consortium. Our Advisory Board includes representatives from our consortium partners. It oversees financial and regulatory compliance and setting the strategic direction for these activities.

Charles Sturt and the consortium partners understand the rural health agenda. We teach, research and live in a rural and regional context. Our consortium partners will create and support new ways to deliver training and engage in inter-professional learning opportunities and research.

The University of New South Wales Rural Clinical School (UNSWRCS) teaches medical students in the at Wagga Wagga, Albury-Wodonga and Griffith.

Western Sydney University

Western Sydney University

Western Sydney University (WSU) has rural medical student placements with extended periods in Bathurst and Lismore. It also has nursing, midwifery and allied health placements throughout rural NSW.

WSU has deep links with Aboriginal medical services and longstanding, established partnerships with:

  • Local Health Districts (LHD)
  • Primary Health Networks (PHN)
  • postgraduate training organisations.

Notre Dame University (NDU) has significant education experience in the catchment areas of the proposed Three Rivers DRH, including:

  • medical education in Wagga Wagga and Griffith
  • medical and nursing education in Lithgow.
