To be eligible for these scholarships, you must have a primary home residence within the Three Rivers DRH footprint or have come from within our footprint before commencing study with Charles Sturt University.

For First Nations registered nurses and allied health professionals to attend either the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives (CATSINaM) or Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA) national conferences in late 2026.

For registered nurses and allied health professionals within five years of graduation to attend a relevant Australian conference in 2026. Priority will be given to rural and remote applicants.
Do you have a genuine and authentic interest in improving the health and wellbeing of our aging population?
Rural areas have significant aging populations, and there are a range of opportunities for students across different health professions to apply their skills and knowledge and practice in rural health and aged care settings. These scholarships provide Charles Sturt University students in allied health, nursing, and dentistry courses we support with the opportunity to participate in workplace learning focused on aged care.
To be eligible for these scholarships, your home residence must be within the postcodes of 2732, 2712, 2707, 2710, 2713, 2716, 2735, 2731, 2733, 2734, 2714, or 2736. If you relocate away from your home for study, e.g. to campus accommodation, you are still eligible.
These scholarships support you as you begin your journey to a career in health. You are expected to reflect on and provide your thoughts on the importance of accessibility to health services and providers, and how this impacts your community, with consideration to the aging population.

We are inviting expressions of interest for sponsored places in Charles Sturt University’s online microcredential course, First Nations Cultural Awareness Journey.
In this transformative cultural awareness course, you’ll explore the cultural practices, government policies and real-world issues affecting First Nations peoples in Australia. You will also gain the skills and nuanced critical thinking to enhance your personal and professional engagement with First Nations peoples.
Valued at $250, we are offering this course at no cost to successful applicants.
