Critical Conversations: Promoting health and wellbeing for refugee-background people living in rural areas

We invite local people from refugee-backgrounds and health and social service providers to join in a community conversation.

For some time now many people from refugee-backgrounds have been resettling in Wagga Wagga and other regional towns across Australia which enriches our rural communities. The legacy of past experiences and the challenges of resettlement, however, continues to impact on people’s health and wellbeing.

At this event we will explain a new study that will gather community perspectives on these issues. You will also hear from local guest speakers, including community members of the Research Project Steering Group, about some of the issues affecting the health and wellbeing of refugee-background people living in rural areas.

Come along and share your thoughts with us and learn about available resources.
