Free workshop for health students – Simulated interprofessional education (Sim-IPE)
This free face-to-face workshop for health students is provided in collaboration with Murrumbidgee Local Health District. It will highlight the range of disciplines, roles, settings, and interprofessional collaboration that contribute to a patient’s journey through the health system.
The patient’s journey will be explored via a series of pre-recorded scenarios, each in a different setting with a mix of health professionals.
Students will be assigned to small groups with a mix of disciplines and facilitated by a clinical educator. The groups will participate in a debrief after each scenario to discuss, reflect, and promote peer learning.
This workshop is for health students interested in advancing their interpersonal and interprofessional skills. It is aimed at helping you become work-ready and hit the ground running when you enter your new career.
Students will receive a certificate of participation.
The day includes morning and afternoon teas (bring your own lunch).
Location
Lecture Theatre, Wagga Wagga Base Hospital
