Simulated interprofessional education – Wagga Wagga

Simulated interprofessional education – Wagga Wagga

Free workshop for health students – Simulated interprofessional education (Sim-IPE)

This free workshop for health students is provided in collaboration with Murrumbidgee Local Health District. It will highlight the range of disciplines, roles, settings, and interprofessional collaboration that contribute to a patient’s journey through the health system when experiencing a stroke.

The patient’s journey will be explored via a series of pre-recorded scenarios, each in a different setting with a mix of health professionals.

Students will be assigned to small groups with a mix of disciplines and facilitated by a clinical educator. The groups will participate in a debrief after each scenario to discuss, reflect, and promote peer learning.

This workshop is for health students interested in advancing their interpersonal and interprofessional skills. It is designed to help you adopt a patient-centred and collaborative approach in your professional work.

Students will receive a certificate of participation.

Morning tea will be provided.
