Perinatal mental health and engaging expectant and new mums with online therapies – Wagga Wagga

Free professional development for people who work with expectant and new mums

This free workshop is suited to current and future health professionals who work with expectant and new mums, including, but not limited to, midwives and child and family health nurses.

Facilitated by a clinical leader and a coordinator from Perinatal Infant Mental Health with NSW Health, it explores the continuum of mental health, types of online cognitive behavioural therapies, and when and how you can help expectant and new mums connect with these supports.

Participants in this workshop will enhance their understanding and application of:

  • Mental health in the perinatal period and internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy (iCBT)
  • Perinatal iCBT options and supporting expectant and new mums
  • Challenges for expectant and new mums, rapport building, and supporting access to online CBT

What’s in it for me?

  • It’s free
  • It can count towards your CPD requirements
  • You will learn about iCBT and how it can be used safely
  • You will learn ways to tailor this new knowledge into your current practice as a value-add option
  • You will receive a certificate of attendance
