Free professional development for current and future health clinicians – Social media disclosures in the lives of young rural people who are suicidal

This free session is delivered by specialist speaker, Annie Fardell-Hartley. This event is suited to current or future health professionals who work in mental health and/or with young people. Annie will share and explore her PhD findings on this topic during a one-hour presentation before engaging participants in a self-care practice.

Participants will enhance their understanding and application of the following topics:

  • The expression of youth suicidality on social media – presentation, warning signs, motivations, and intended recipients.
  • Community responses versus desired response to youth suicidality on social media.
  • Bridging lived experience to existing theory and practice.
