Griffith is a major regional city in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area that is located in the north-western part of the Riverina region of New South Wales, known commonly as the food bowl of Australia.

Three Rivers DRH off-campus accommodation

The Three Rivers DRH Griffith student accommodation facility is ideally located within walking distance of the Griffith Base Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital and the Griffith City Centre.

This facility comprises 2 x 2 bedroom units and a four-bedroom house – providing comfortable and affordable accommodation for eight students at any one time.

Facilities provided

  • Own bedroom with queen size bed
  • Furnished living, dining and fully equipped kitchen
  • Shared unisex bathroom facilities
  • Shared laundry facilities with front load washer and clothes dryer provided – bring your own washing detergent
  • Heating and cooling – personal electrical heating appliances may not be used at any time; fan heaters and bar heaters are not permitted
  • All linen, including sheets and towels
  • Outdoor communal garden area with barbecue available
  • On-site car parking for at least six vehicles
  • Wi-fi available

Do not bring personal electrical heating appliances with you to the accommodation. Due to fire risk, fan heaters and bar heaters are not permitted for use in our off-campus properties.

Country Universities Centre (CUC) Western Riverina – If you need a quiet study space, high-speed internet or academic support, please contact the CUC Western Riverina. The CUC is located at 1 Olympic Street, Griffith and is open from 5am to midnight. You can access the services for free and connect with other students in the area. Register online

Baiada Murrumbidgee Clinical Teaching and Learning Centre

Located on the first level of St Vincent’s Private Hospital, and adjacent to the Griffith Base Hospital the Baiada Murrumbidgee Clinical Teaching and Learning Centre is a purpose-built education and student facility designed to foster clinical expertise in the Griffith region.

St Vincent’s operate this Centre in partnership with Charles Sturt University, University of Wollongong, University of Notre Dame, University of New South Wales, Coast City Council Training, local TAFE and Griffith Base Hospital.

Students attending clinical placement in Griffith have access to this facility which includes a lecture theatre, clinical skills laboratory, tutorial rooms, student resource centre, kitchen facilities and amenities for local and visiting academics and students. Internet and printing facilities are also provided.

The Learning Centre also gives students an opportunity to gather and engage with other students who are undertaking their placements in Griffith.
