Alishia is a pathology laboratory scientist, completing a Bachelor of Medical Science (Pathology) and Bachelor of Forensic Biotechnology, double degree at Charles Sturt in 2015.

Since graduating, Alishia has developed multidisciplinary skills, working in laboratories in Liverpool, Mildura, and Wagga Wagga.

In 2021, she completed her Master of Medical Science (Pathology), demonstrating her passion for gaining knowledge and passing that on to others.

Seeing first-hand the deficiencies in rural healthcare compared to the city, she aims to help keep rural healthcare workers rural, and promote and encourage people to join the healthcare workforce.

Alishia is involved in practical demonstrations of pathology-based subjects at intensive schools.
