Within the role of a First Nations Cadet, Julie will bring expertise in mental health gained through her previous experience as a trainee Aboriginal mental health clinician (2017 – 2020) and mental health clinician / social and emotional wellbeing worker (2020 – 2022).

In 2020, Julie successfully received an Indigenous Commonwealth Reward Scholarship.

Julie's research interests include mental and physical comorbidities, pain management, psychology, dementia, bipolar disorder, adolescent (behaviours) psychology, psychological testing and suicidality.
