Simulation-enhanced interprofessional education – satellite sites

This free education day for health students is provided in collaboration with Murrumbidgee Local Health District. It will highlight the range of disciplines, roles, settings, and interprofessional collaboration that contribute to a patient’s journey through the health system when recovering from a hip fracture.

This will be explored via a series of simulations live-streamed from Wagga Wagga to five satellite sites: Albury, Dubbo, Forbes, and Griffith.

Each scenario will be in a different setting, from paramedic assessment to acute care and community care settings. Each satellite site will have a clinical educator present to facilitate group activities and debriefs throughout the day as you observe the live-streamed simulations.

All health students are encouraged to attend, including but not limited to physiotherapy, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, medical radiation science, paramedicine and medicine. With the permission of host organisations, students may be able to attend during placement hours.

The day includes morning and afternoon teas (bring your own lunch).
