Free education day for health students – Simulation-enhanced interprofessional education

This free face-to-face event for health students is provided in collaboration with Murrumbidgee Local Health District. It will highlight the range of disciplines, roles, settings, and interprofessional collaboration that contribute to a patient’s journey through the health system when recovering from a hip fracture.

Get ready for a series of hands-on simulations and debriefs that will take you through various healthcare settings, from paramedic assessment to acute care and community care settings. You will be assigned to either the simulation or observation group, all under the guidance of experienced clinical educators.

All health students are encouraged to attend, including but not limited to physiotherapy, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, medical radiation science, paramedicine and medicine. With the permission of host organisations, students may be able to attend during placement hours.

The day includes morning and afternoon teas (bring your own lunch).

Can’t make it to Wagga Wagga? The series of simulations will also be live-streamed to five satellite sites: Albury, Dubbo, Forbes, Griffith and Parkes. More information and registration are available for these satellite sites.
